Saint James Hospital lobby, IL

2002 - An entirely new "replacement facility" now called OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center was completed. A large portion of the funds came from the estate of a farmer who wanted to give back to the area in which he had always lived  for the purpose of building a health care facility in or near the community he loved. Corn fields are everywere around Pontiac, the landscape depicted in my tapestry is calming and typical for the area but the sky is unusual, you can see in the clouds the face of Saint James. The 6' x 9' tapestry is decorating the lobby of the hospital.
